It takes 30 rose blossoms to produce a single drop of Rose Oil or 3,000 kg. of rose petals to produce just 1 kg of Rose Oil

Although there are over 10,000 varieties of rose, surprisingly few of them impart a noticeable fragrance.

"Rosa damascena" (Damask Rose) can be found growing wild and/or cultivated in many places on Earth - but there are only two locations where growing conditions are such that we can call them ideal - the "Isparta" valley of Turkey and the Rose Valley of Bulgaria..

The rich Ancient Romans enjoyed bathing in rose water, and it was, and still is, considered to have anti-bacterial and antiseptic properties. For this reason, rosewater was frequently used to wash one's hands.
